I've always wanted to build my own hovercraft. When I was in 7th grade I got a poster of a beautiful hovercraft that I put up in my room. I used to look at it and imagine all the parts that had to be hidden under its skin to make it work. Now, 18 years later I'm actually trying to make a hovercraft that will work with some common house hold items and some every day tools. Please check it out and leave me some comments!

Hey there... about 2 years ago I spent a good 4 to 6 months doing just what you're doing... my friend got me an Echo leaf blower (which is MANY times more powerful than normal ones) and I used a weed whacker motor with RC props, just like you. You should send me an email- there's a lot that I'd bet you'd be interested to know/hear... but for starters, I found that the weed whacker motor was so powerful that I was able to put two propellers, making a cross, which doubles the "lift" (push). anyhoo my email's adol_ivxx@roadrunner.com
Thnaks Nathan for sharing cost of building hovercraft. It will benefit More. I think you should know the nearby cost of your project before you start it, otherwise you will be in truble.
